    Beta Brings Home Awards
    CHS Beta team attended the 2017-2018 convention. Awards were received in the following categories:

    Beta Build- 1st place (They are given a list of supplies to bring and are given two hours to build a Rube Goldberg machine. The team was made up of Garrett Graves, Nathan Robison, Trent Taylor, and Robert Miller.)

    Character Skit- 3rd place (They had to write and perform a skit that highlighted the Beta characteristics. The team was made up of Elijah Brewer, Kaleb Coleman, Anna Batte, Noah Hampton, and Brayden Frye.)

    Scrapbook- 1st place (Document our Beta Club’s activities from 2016 State Convention – 2017 State Convention. Scrapbook was compiled by Callie Bratton, Ana-Kate Welsh, Maecy Bond, Kaitlyn French, Rachel Smith, and Destiny Dillingham)

    Callie Bratton’s painting won 3rd place (She was able to submit a painting she had already done.)

    Advertising Design- 2nd place (Olivia Lowry, Callie Bratton, and Kaitlyn French were given a topic and had to make an advertising pamphlet in two hours using poster board, markers, and coloring pencils.)

    Living Literature- 2nd place (Students chose a piece of literature, built a set, and performed a “freeze frame” of a certain part of the book. Jack Crocker, Carter Graves, Ana-Kate Welsh, Autumn Baker, Maycee Cary, and Thomas Crews were a part of this competition.)
The CHS Theatre Arts Program are the proud recipients of the CASEY'S General Store PAWS Level Contribution. We would like to congratulate the Theatre Arts Program and give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Casey's General Store.
HRBSSD Recieves Award
Commissioner McQueen congratulated Mr. Duncan and Hollow Rock-Bruceton Special School District on 10/22/2017 for being an Exemplary District for 2017.
So give our educators a SHOUT OUT for a job well done. CONGRATULATION!!!
